About the event

Raised in Udora and Uxbridge, Laura Peers worked as a summer student at the Uxbridge-Scott Museum and went on to become Curator at the Pitt Rivers Museum at Oxford. This talk is about the influences that set her on that path, her work supporting reconnections between Indigenous people and ancestral items in museums, and her recent work on the To Honour and Respect project involving the renewal of connections between Michi Saagiig Anishnaabeg people and ancestral items—and why such reconnections matter to us all.
